Postnatal Support

Service Description

The fourth trimester is the first three months following birth and is the period that many Postnatal Doulas work within. I am extremely passionate about this service as not only does evidence show improved outcomes for parents that feel supported post birth, but I truly believe what happens in these precious first days and weeks can impact our physical and mental wellbeing as well as our future parenting journey. As your Postnatal Doula we can spend some time before the birth planning ahead, ensuring you will have everything you need. This may involve organising a meal train, planning to connect you with bodywork practitioners post birth, or mapping out your support system ahead of time. When the time comes for me to attend you, I can provide things such as Breastfeeding support, light housework and cooking, running errands, emotional support and physical support in terms of caring for baby whilst you sleep or shower. This may include carrying baby in one of my slings, taking baby for a short walk or simply holding and entertaining them whilst you rest or do what you need to do. Having qualifications in counselling skills and coaching I can sit with you and support you should you need to talk anything through about your birth or how you are feeling as a new parent. We can also arrange for me to provide you with some beautifully calming holistic therapies including Ear Candling, Reiki, Holistic Facial and Crystal Therapy. As your Postnatal Doula I am there to provide unwavering support in whatever way you need it. How this looks is completely individual and tailored to you. My aim is to support you to feel cared for, well and happy in your time post birth. Prices: Block booking of 5 hours £115 ** Block booking of 10 hours £225 ** Block booking of 15 hours £325 ** Block booking provides the best value for money however booking on an hourly basis is available at £25 per hour * *Minimum Booking of 2 hours required. ** Travel expenses are included within a ten mile radius of my home in Widnes. After that there is a charge of 45p per mile.
